Italian restaurant serving 'phenomenal' food launches new lockdown menu

An Italian restaurant which regularly gains five star reviews on TripAdvisor has launched a new service so you can enjoy its food at home during lockdown.

Cucina di Vincenzo on Woolton Road has been closed since mid March when the government advised people not to go to pubs and restaurants to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

The restaurant has now decided to launch an ‘at home’ service, until it can reopen again.

Vincenzo’s opened in 2016 and has been described by fans as ‘truly magnificent’, with diners calling its food ‘stunning; and ‘phenomenal’.

During lockdown, Gabriella Margiotta, who works at Vincenzo’s has been doing home cooking live on the Liverpool ECHO’s Facebook page, each weekend. You can see her again tomorrow morning (Sunday, June 14) at 10am here.

Last week, the owners announced its new service on Instagram, saying: “Excited to be slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things.

“Until we can fully return we will be working week to week to bring you a little bit of Vincenzo’s at home.”

The family who run the restaurant is offering a limited menu, which will change weekly and be available for collection on Fridays and Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm.

This week’s menu included homemade beef lasagne to heat up at home, rosemary potatoes and tiramisu.
