A luxury Italian fashion label which counts Meghan Markle as a fan is investing to make its UK store debut near South Kensington station, the Evening Standard can reveal.

Parosh, which won an army of new customers in 2017 after the Duchess of Sussex wore one of its dresses when announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, has signed a 10-year lease for a shop at 6 Fulham Road.

The firm’s goods, including £894 leopard print bags and £330 cardigans, are currently only available in Britain online via sites such as Farfetch. The London store is set to open in September, adding to Parosh’s six other branches in Europe.

Property agents Thomas Pain & Company and Savills advised on the letting between Parosh and landlord The Wellcome Trust.

Savills’ associate director Tiffany Luckett said: “The store will perfectly complement the standout line-up of occupiers already in the neighbourhood.”

Nearby retailers include Chanel and Ralph Lauren.
