'It's hard enough for families': Edinburgh Funeral director slams 'disgusting' crematorium graffiti

Locals have reacted with anger and disgust after a wall at Seafield crematorium near Leith in Edinburgh was vandalised during the coronavirus lockdown.

Lee Stewart took a photo of the large white, black and yellow graffiti tag that has appeared on the wall, and shared it on Facebook, saying:

"I’m absolutely disgusted at the low life that thought it would be great to spray the crematorium wall at SEAFIELD.

"It’s hard enough for families at this time without having to come into this . PLEASE SHARE SO THIS GET CAN BE FOUND. Your art work is s*** so why did you waste your time?"

Ms Stewart also said that CCTV footage had been reviewed, but it was 'too dark' to see the culprit, unfortunately.

She also told Edinburgh Live that the graffiti appeared last night (19 May).

People reacted in shock when they saw the graffiti, saying: "That’s awful, why would anyone do that."

Another local man, Davie Martin, added: "Unbelievable let's hope their trademark gets them caught."

Edinburgh Live reached out to the crematorium, who declined to comment.
