'It's happened again!' - Arsenal fans go crazy as Tottenham suffer humiliating defeat

Tottenham Hotspur are out of the Europa League, much to the delight of many Arsenal supporters.

Despite holding a 2-0 lead from the first-leg, the Lilywhites have crashed out at the last-16 stage at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb, with Mislav Orsic proving to be the hero with a hat-trick.

It has been a bad few days for Spurs as they went into the game in Zagreb on the back of a 2-1 loss against Arsenal in the north London derby last weekend.

As a result, Tottenham's chances of playing Champions League football have been severely dented in the space of two games.

Meanwhile, back in London at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners also suffered defeat in their second leg tie against Olympiacos.

However, Mikel Arteta's side did all the damage in Greece as their 3-1 win from last week was enough to see them book a quarter-final place thanks to a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Although, the Spaniard was not best pleased with the performance from his side.

"No excuses. We have to manage to play every three days," Arteta said in his post-match press conference. "It's football. It's nowhere near the level with the ball what we have done today."

With that said, the overall picture for Arsenal is a lot better than their bitter rivals.

And after watching Spurs lose after extra-time and thus fail at the last-16 stage in the Europa League, there has been a massive reaction from Arsenal fans on social media.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...

@AFCTalk0 said: "Classic Tottenham. You absolutely love to see it!"

@bhavss14 said: "The biggest bottle jobs in the history of football. Tottenham Hotspur. ITSS HAPPENED AGAIN."

@ArsenalTerje said: "It's the history of the Tottenham."
