Wales will look to an inexperienced line-up in the hope of ending their six-game losing streak when they face Georgia in the Autumn Nations Cup, with both teams looking to bounce back from their opening-weekend defeats.
Wayne Pivac finds himself under growing pressure since taking over from Warren Gatland a year ago, with the Wales head coach taking the decision to sack defence coach Byron Hayward last week before the comprehensive 32-9 defeat by Ireland.
After finishing the 2020 Six Nations down in fifth, Wales cannot afford their losing run to go on any longer, especially against a Georgia side who are taking on the established Six Nations for the first time outside of a Rugby World Cup.
Georgia meanwhile will hope to put their two recent results behind them after being hammered 48-7 by Scotland before suffering a 40-0 loss to England last weekend, with the tourists determined to prove they can mix it up with Europe’s best.
Wales have made 13 changes since the loss to Ireland, with Cardiff flanker James Botham, grandson of England cricket great Ian Botham, to make his debut in the back row along with centre Johny Williams and scrum-half Kieran Hardy. Only flanker Justin Tipuric and wing Liam Williams remain from last week’s side.
