Is Spain v England on TV? Channel, kick-off time and how to watch Lionesses in World Cup qualifier

England can qualify for the Women’s World Cup tonight if they avoid defeat to world champions Spain away from home.

The Lionesses took charge of their tough qualifying group with a 1-0 victory over their Euro 2025 final opponents at Wembley in April.

Sarina Wiegman’s side are three points clear of Spain at the top of their group and would qualify automatically for the 2027 tournament if they get a result

But Spain, who beat England in the 2023 World Cup final, will be out for revenge in Mallorca, and could leapfrog the Lionesses into top spot with a win on home soil.

The runner-up in the group will advance into the play-offs, with the Lionesses playing their final qualifier against Ukraine on Tuesday. Here’s everything you need to know.

Is Spain v England on TV?

The World Cup qualifier will be shown on ITV 1 and ITV X. Kick-off is 8pm BST (UK time) and coverage starts from 7:30pm.

What is the England team news?

England captain Leah Williamson has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury but Ella Toone has returned to the squad for the first time this year following a hip problem.

Possible England team

Hampton; Bronze, Wubben-Moy, Morgan, Greenwood; Walsh, Stanway, Toone; Hemp, Russo, James

What do England need to qualify?

The Lionesses will qualify if they avoid defeat. The head-to-head record is used to break ties within groups, so a draw would be good enough as England beat Spain 1-0 at home and it would mean Spain could not finish with more points than them.

If Spain win, they could take the head-to-head record if they win by a bigger margin than 1-0. If England lose 1-0, top spot would come down to goal difference.
