Is Olivia Rodrigo Announcing Her New Album This Week? Unpacking The Easter Eggs

Olivia Rodrigo’s third album, aka OR3, is officially in “keep your calendar clear” territory people!

Between fresh murals this week, a mysterious pink lock and studio hints, Livies are convinced a big reveal is just around the corner.

All the easter eggs Olivia Rodrigo has dropped about OR3

Over the past fortnight, Livies have been tracking a new mural campaign like it’s their full‑time job. One purple logo wall appeared in Los Angeles earlier this month before being repainted a little lighter each night, moving from deep purple into a dusky pink; a fan‑shot clip shared by her official fan account shows workers returning daily and tags the video with #OliviaIsComing.

A matching wall has been spotted as far away as Sydney, with Aussie fans posting TikToks of a bright Olivia mural popping up in the CBD.

London has its own piece of the puzzle: in mid‑March, fans found a heart‑shaped lock with Rodrigo’s logo and “April” written on the side, originally purple and now painted pink to match the updated walls.

That’s layered on top of months of colour‑coding from Rodrigo herself — she wore a blush pink Saint Laurent gown to the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars after‑party, which her official fan account posted with the caption, “Liv at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Don’t ask us the colour of anything”, and then turned up in another pale pink dress at the Chloé show during Paris Fashion Week in early March.

What will Olivia Rodrigo’s next album be called?

Then there’s the luck angle. For months, she’s leaned into lucky symbols and language — think clover‑coded outfits, ladybug and polka‑dot imagery, and referring to herself as the “luckiest girl in the world” in previous posts. Fans have connected that to four‑letter title theories like “Luck”, “Love”, “Amor” and “Fool”, keeping in line with SOUR and GUTS. Add in the fact today is St Patrick’s Day, aka maximum luck energy, and the timeline suddenly looks very convenient for a cheeky announcement.

What has Olivia Rodrigo said about OR3?

Behind all the Easter eggs, Rodrigo has been pretty clear that a new album is coming, even if she’s keeping the details close. In an interview with Nylon in 2025, she teased that “2026 is going to be a busy year for me. I’ve been having a lot of fun dreaming things up”, which fans have retrofitted into the current mural timeline. A few months earlier, in an October 2025 American Express promo video, she stated, “Now I’m home, and I’m working on my new album”.

She’s also talked about how different this era will feel compared to SOUR and GUTS. Speaking to ELLE in October 2025, Rodrigo said, “It’s nice to be home from touring, to really get to sink my teeth into new songs and new sounds and new stories. I’m having a really good time”, and added that the new record feels “so different” now that she’s older and more experienced. She echoed that idea in earlier interviews, explaining that as she grows and gains new perspectives, “it’s impossible for that not to be reflected in your songwriting”, and that she hopes the next album will feel “more mature and like a different take on things”.

The studio receipts are there, too. In November 2025, Rodrigo shared a photo dump that included a shot of her back in the studio working on new music. Then, on 25 February 2026, longtime collaborator Dan Nigro posted a picture of the pair in the studio with the caption “Finishing records…”, and Rodrigo slid into the comments to write, “The palpable stress in this photo hahaha”, which fans have treated as a pretty solid indicator that OR3 is basically wrapped.

When will Olivia Rodrigo’s new album come out?

Annoyingly we still don’t have an official release date, album title or tracklist. We’re working with vibes, visuals and a few well‑chosen words. What we do have is a pattern — Olivia has history with Tuesday drops, she’s been loudly hinting that 2026 will be packed, and the London “April” lock plus all this mid‑March promo suggests something is lined up in the next few weeks.

Right now, most fans are betting on an April moment, whether that’s a lead single, a full album or at least a proper announcement that lets us plan our feelings in advance. The St Patrick’s Day timing, all the luck symbolism, and the fact it’s a Tuesday makes today (or US’s Tuesday) feel like a very possible “post” day, but until she actually hits upload it’s still just extremely educated guesswork.

Will Olivia Rodrigo tour Australia?

Tour‑wise, nothing has been confirmed for Australia yet. But given Rodrigo brought the GUTS World Tour to both Melbourne and Sydney and managed to sell out multiple arena dates here, local fans (aka me) are already quietly manifesting that the next era will scale up to stadiums if (or when) she returns. I’ll be damned if I can’t get tickets AGAIN!

In the meantime I’ll be listening to her other albums on repeat and will of course update this page as soon as we hear anything!
