Is Jordy Nelson the veteran WR the Steelers need?

NFL teams continue to shuffle their rosters as free agency gets close to closing out its first week. The Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders. Now just days later the Raiders have released veteran wide receiver Jordy Nelson.

There was a report the Steelers were interested in Golden Tate before he ultimately signed with the New York Giants. If Pittsburgh is still in the market for a smart veteran receiver who has proven to be productive in his 30s, Nelson is a perfect fit.

The Steelers signed Donte Moncrief earlier in the week but filling the void left by the Brown trade is going to be a team effort. If the Steelers are serious about adding a second free-agent wide receiver they could do much worse than Nelson at this point.
