Irvine ace Erin Cuthbert's goal voted the best in the Champions League

Irvine footballer Erin Cuthbert is celebrating a Champions League double.

The Chelsea Ladies ace was this week named in the tournament's squad of the year and won goal of the season for her semi-final strike against Lyon.

She topped a list compiled by UEFA technical observers of the top ten goals from the quarter-finals onwards.

The 20-year-old was also one of five forwards selected as the best in the competition.

The accolades come hard on the heels of Cuthbert being named in the 23-strong Scotland squad for next month's World Cup in France.
