Ireland will finally experience some summer-like conditions next week, with temperatures of up to 20C on the way.

It's looking like it will be a warm start to next week, as Met Eireann is forecasting bright and sunny days.

Monday will be "bright and breezy" with highs of 18C expected.

And, despite a few rain showers, Tuesday will be even warmer again with temperatures as high as 20C.

A forecaster said: "Monday will be bright and breezy, with short sunny spells, but fairly widespread showers, many heavy.

"A spell of rain may affect southern areas overnight, but this is uncertain."
