Irish Norwich City midfielder William Hondermarck seals loan move

William Hondermarck has joined Harrogate Town on loan from Norwich City for the rest of the League Two season.

The midfielder signed for Norwich from Drogheda United in January 2019 and has made 30 appearances over two seasons for their Under-23s.

But Harrogate were keen on a loan deal as they try to cement their standing in League Two in their first ever season in the Football League.

“We can see he’s got a big future ahead of him,” said Harrogate boss Simon Weaver.

“He’s a big athlete and something different from what we’ve got in midfield. He has a long stride but he’s a graceful player who will get box to box and make it happen

“We’ll be looking at him to get in amongst it and create and provide goals.

“Will has made the commitment to come over to England to play and we know he’ll be dedicated, professional and hungry to play for us.”
