Two Irish Liverpool fans spent a whopping €400 on fake tickets to their clash with Barcelona in the Champions League.
Martin Moore and Shane Ruane travelled 2,000 kilometres to watch one of the biggest games of the season, but were devastated when they realised they had paid big money for fake tickets.
Shane Ruane revealed how they purchased the bogus tickets, saying: "We approached two fans outside the ground, they initially offered us the pair for €500, we eventually got them down to €400 for both.
"Thinking we had sealed a decent deal, we exchanged numbers and one of them suggested we get in touch should we ever venture over for a home game.
“We grew suspicious when we noticed there was no hologram on the ticket.

He told the Irish Sun: "After realising that, we returned to the spot where we bought them but no more than five minutes after acquiring them the crooks had vanished.
"We decided to go to the gate to see if they worked but they were immediately confiscated by security.
"We were just heartbroken. We’d travelled all the way over for the game and to be let down by one of our own only added to the pain."
Unfortunately for the Dublin lads, their misery was compounded when they had to watch their side slump to a 3-0 trashing at the hands of Barcelona in a local pub.
The Reds now face an uphill battle in the second leg at Anfield against Lionel Messi and co.
