The six counties that could hit 27C as stunning heatwave hits in Ireland on Saturday.
Heatwave weather is set to continue with temperatures expected to reach a scorching 27C this weekend.
The north midlands will be the warmest part of the Emerald Isle on Saturday with Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Meath, Offaly and Westmeath could possibly sneak up to a sweltering 27 degrees.
Dublin, Clare and Cork are all expected to see temperatures over 25 degrees, with other areas likely to follow too.
Met Eireann meteorologist Gerry Murphy confirmed the hot spell, caused by the Azores High, will carry into the early part of next week too.

He said: “The weekend will give us the best of it.
“It will still stay warm in the early days of next week too, possibly not quite as warm and then in the middle of next week there’s a greater threat of some showers and some cooler conditions at that stage.
“Certainly for the rest of this week, and especially over the weekend, some very pleasant summer sunshine in store. As we approach the middle of next week, the temperatures will drop back as maybe some low pressure comes up and basically gives a greater threat of showers.”
In terms of the general forecast, high pressure will build over Ireland in the coming days, bringing mostly dry conditions with increasing amounts of warm sunshine.

A mostly cloudy start this morning will burn off to leave good sunny spells, the best will be in the south-east.
The sunshine should spread to all areas by the evening with maximum temperatures ranging from 22C to 25C.
Daytime temperatures on Saturday and Sunday are set to sizzle parts of the country with the mercury ranging from 23C to 27C, but cooler in coastal areas.
So enjoy it while it lasts as Met Eireann also confirmed: “There is a trend towards more showery conditions on Wednesday.”
