A heated debate over which crisps are the best in Ireland saw one clear winner crowned.
The discussion started on the Ireland Reddit page yesterday, with one user asking: “Best crisps - Discuss”.
Hundreds of people took to the comments to argue their case for their favourite snack tasting better than the rest.

User MacGuffin21, who started the conversation, wrote: “Rancheros have it for me , Waffles a close second.”
While many agreed, others defended their crisps of choice.
One person wrote: “Just reminding everyone that Thai Rings exist. You're welcome.”
With others agreeing: “Best thing about Thai Rings is the bag is rammed. No chance of a bag of air unlike most crisps these days.”
Someone else joked: “I've still to meet someone who is able to distinguish Thai Rings from Spicy Rings”
Another Reddit user made their argument for Hunky Dory Sour Cream and Onion.
“I will die on this hill,” they said, to which someone responded: “Was waiting for this. If I'm making a crisp sambo these are the go to.”
BBQ Hula Hoops got many votes, while some disagreed stating the original red ones were superior.
One user’s response was described as “stunning”, with someone else stating: “You have nailed it, totally correct answer” after they said: “Hunky Dory's Cheese & Onion for crisp sandwiches. Waffles for mindless scoffing. Meanies for a snack. Tayto Bistro Cheese & Onion for eating with Cadburys Plain Dairymilk.”
However the clear winner appeared to belong to the original poster, who argued their case for Rancheros, with Waffles a close second.
“Also a big fan of Rancheros, Snax and Tayto are up there, too,” one person said.
Another added: “Ooooohhhh haven't had a bag of Rancheros in years, I soooo want a bag right now.”
A third wrote: “Rancheros are brilliant.”
But there was some controversy over the popular snack.
"Always wheelies first. Rancheros are still top tier though," one person said.
Another argued: "Waffles 1. Bansheebones 2. Rancheros 3."
Someone else said: "Nah, waffles ahead of rancheros, easily."
A forth commented: "Rancheros taste almost too intense for me, way too salty too."
Meanwhile, one Rancheros fan shared a tip for where they can currently be bought on offer.
“FYI you can currently buy 18 bags of Rancheros for €5 using Lidl plus. You're welcome,” they said.
