Not just one day but all days must belong to women. March 8th marks the International Women’s Day. The day began to be celebrated when 15,000 women marched through New York City calling for shorter hours, higher pay, and the opportunity to vote in 1908. A year later, the first National Woman's Day was proclaimed by the Socialist Party of America. Over the years, International Women's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world.
