Interactive map shows you how many people have died from coronavirus in your postcode

A new interactive tool will now tell you exactly how many people have died from coronavirus in your postcode.

All you have to do is enter your postcode in the map below, which has been created by the Office for National Statistics.

It includes deaths which occured between March 1 and April 17, registered by April 18.

A death is included if 'coronavirus was the underlying cause or was mentioned on the death certificate as a contributory factor'.

Click on the map below and enter your Leeds postcode to get the total deaths for your local area:

The points on the map don't show the exact location of each death - it just lands on a central point within your postcode vicinity.

The death toll across Leeds now stands at 223, after three more deaths were confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson says the UK is now 'past the peak' of the virus outbreak. It comes as it was revealed the Government did manage to hit it's 100,000 daily tests target by the end of April.

In England, 20,483 have now died from Covid-19.
