As the gap between Eastern and Western League of Legends teams widens, FlyQuest’s jungler, Inspired, didn’t hold back after his team’s disappointing loss against Anyone’s Legend at MSI 2025.
“I don’t know how I can improve my game that much playing in NA,” Inspired said in an interview with Sheep Esports. “It’s really tough because you’re either not getting punished for your decisions, or in teamfights, you’re winning just because the enemies can’t really control the champions as well as Asian teams can. So sometimes, it just feels hard to get better.”

In the past, multiple American League teams have tried to send their teams to Asia to scrim against the best teams in the world and become more accustomed to their ruthless gameplay, where one mistake could end your game in an instant. However, jetlag and Riot’s rigid rules on teams switching their main roster with academy players discouraged players from making their way to Asia.
Inspired also mentioned that Asian teams can control champions better than Western teams, challenging players to improve their mechanics. As Western teams only get to play Eastern teams in international tournaments, there is hardly any improvement through their domestic teams.
Like other international tournaments, MSI 2025 only has one Western representative in the form of FlyQuest after they knocked out G2 Esports, and Movistar KOI lost their series against CFO. While Europe has been the beacon of hope with G2’s maiden MSI title in 2019, making fans believe in the region, North America has performed better in the last few years.
FlyQuest has the big task of upsetting another Chinese team, BLG, who are coming off a loss to T1. The winner of the series gets one step closer to the MSI finals.
