Inside the luxury 5-star Maldives resort where Luis Suarez and two Liverpool stars holiday

Ex-Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and two members of the current Reds squad recently jetted off to a luxury Maldives resort to unwind from the current season.

Suarez, who was knocked out of the World Cup at the group stage with Uruguay, helped Nacional to a top-flight title before the tournament in Qatar and is approaching the end of his short-term contract at his boyhood club. During his break with family members, he took part in a football match with fellow guests and islanders at the World Sports Arena.

The 54-hectare island resort, Siyam World, is home to the Maldives' biggest floating water park and boasts a variety of 18 accommodation categories, ranging from one-to-six bedroom villas and residences. It also features an enclave called' 'The Beach House Collection', offering stunning views, private pools and direct access to the ocean.

Suarez was also pictured exploring the Indian Ocean inside a 'Seabreacher' vessel, appearing in a happy mood despite the disappointment of suffering an early exit in Qatar. His visit to the Maldives was preceded by Harvey Elliott and Kostas Tsimikas making the trip to Siyam World, with both players enjoying free time earlier this month due to not competing at the World Cup.

The Liverpool duo are now with the rest of Jurgen Klopp's first-team squad in Dubai as the Reds ramp up their preparations for the second half of the campaign. Liverpool's next game takes place a week today, taking on Manchester City away from home in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
