Inside the Greggs café hidden in a Primark - and there's even a sausage roll swing

Britain's favourite bakery has unveiled a sausage roll swing as part of its latest big opening.

Greggs lovers can sit on a giant mock-up of the savoury treat suspended from the ceiling in the latest bombastic move from the chain.

The Instagram-worthy feature is part of the company's new launch inside Primark's superstore in Liverpool - one of just five exclusive branches with plush seating and selfie exhibits.

The Tasty by Greggs cafés are fancy coffee lounges serving the bakery's favourites - alongside new menu additions - which are slowly popping up in Primark stores around the country.

Seating booths modelled on the bakery's beloved doughnuts form part of the psychedelic in-store décor.

Liverpool's new opening which launched on Friday, meanwhile, has a Yellow Submarine seating bank, in homage to the city's most famous export, the Beatles, in it 114-seat eatery.

The new branch is the fifth 'Tasty by Greggs' to open in Britain, which is more of a cosy-style coffee lounge compared to its takeaway-focused stores.

Others have popped up in London's Oxford Street, Bristol, Birmingham and, of course, Greggs' home city of Newcastle, which opened earlier this year in March.

Tim Kelly, Director of New Business Development at Primark said: “We’re thrilled with the success of our partnership with Greggs to date – ranging from three sell-out collections to now three brilliant cafes, we’re constantly on the lookout for new ways to inspire and excite customers.

“We’re excited to be extending our partnership to new locations including Newcastle so more customers can visit two of the best brands on the British high street in one go.”
