Inside the fire truck you can book - and it comes with a firefighter's pole

If your little one is obsessed with all things fire trucks and firefighters, then we may have just found the ideal getaway for your family.

That's because a former fire truck has been transformed into a holiday home in the Lake District, complete firefighter outfits for the kids and even a firefighter's pole you can slide down!

The Red Rescue Retreat is basically a big kid's playground.

There's a twin bedroom with two fire truck beds for kids, a firefighter's pole you can slide down from the master bedroom directly into the living area, and even a cabin with toys, costumes and a host for little ones to play with.

For parents there's a master bedroom complete with a king-size bed, TV and dressing table, as well as a shower room and an open plan lounge and kitchen with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a Smart TV, cooker and fridge.

Oh, and there's even a private sauna if you fancy a bit of pampering!

For those wanting to make the most of the great outdoors, the fire truck also offers a large decked patio area so you can take in the picturesque views.

Meanwhile, kids can make the most of the spacious playground complete with a climbing frame and slide.

The surroundings are pretty beautiful; after all, the truck boasts an enviable location in the Lake District National Park, close to the charming village of Threlkeld.
