Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh gave fans a glimpse into their son Roman’s birthday party, as the toddler turned two.
Former Coronation Street star Ryan and ex-TOWIE star Lucy celebrated with family and famous friends at a luxury safari-themed bash at their home in Essex over the weekend, and shared clips and snaps from the bash on Instagram.
Ryan’s brother Adam Thomas attended the bash, along with Lucy’s former TOWIE co-star Lydia Bright, who brought along her daughter Loretta, and Made In Chelsea star Ashley James.
The TV star jokingly warned her followers that “spam” from Roman’s party was incoming, but her fans were delighted to see the sweet details of the bash.
Lucy and Ryan hired pastel coloured soft play from The Kids Corner to keep the toddlers entertained, which featured a ball pool, as well as foam slides and ride on cars in the safely gated off area.
She then shared snaps of Ryan holding up the safari-themed cake - which Lucy said was dairy-free to cater for Roman’s allergy - as family and friends serenaded the youngster with a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’.
The huge balloon display was complemented by large cut-outs of animals, as well as a board that read ‘Roman turns two’.
Lucy also posted sweet snaps of Roman with his big sister Scarlett, who Ryan shares with ex Tina O’Brien.
The adults at the party were also catered for, as Lucy had set up a ‘Mumosa Bar’ at the bash, with a bottle of champagne and orange juice spotted in an ice bucket so parents could make themselves a mimosa cocktail while the kids were entertained.
Cheeky signs were dotted around the venue, reading ‘feeding time at the zoo’, alongside stacks of cakes and jam tarts.
And as if the soft play wasn’t enough, Lucy and Ryan hired a kids’ entertainer, who delighted the partygoers with his puppet show.
She said she felt “blessed” to have thrown Roman a birthday party, as the youngster has had troubles with his health over the last 12 months.
“I feel so blessed. Roman’s had a tough year with his health, so to see him enjoying his second birthday party happy & healthy isd the best feeling in the world,” Lucy wrote atop a snap of her cuddling her firstborn.
“I love you so much baby boy,” the pregnant star added.
Former Corrie star Ryan also shared videos from Roman’s birthday on his Instagram Stories, and revealed the little boy had a special visit from his favourite TV characters.
In the clip, the Teletubbies can be seen gathered outside the couple’s front door, and Roman was overwhelmed to see his favourite toys come to life, with the youngster wanting a cuddle from his mum.
“Happy birthday King Roman,” Ryan captioned the clip.
