Inside Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty's stag do as he prepares to marry Holly Ramsay

Stag dos are typically known for being quite chaotic, but this one seems to have gone above and beyond.

Adam Peaty, the Olympic swimmer, is now back from his trip away in Budapest ahead of his upcoming nuptials to Holly Ramsey - but the weekend did not go by without drama.

Peaty is set to tie the knot with Gordon Ramsey’s daughter Holly in a Christmas Day ceremony at Bath Abbey, but the day has already hit headlines with an ongoing row making the news, which has seen Adam’s mum Caroline banned from the wedding altogether.

Now, even more drama has unfolded after Adam Peaty’s brother was arrested over allegations he sent threats to the Olympic swimmer during his stag do, according to reports.

James Peaty, 34, was reportedly questioned by police on Monday before being released on conditional bail after allegations he sent Adam, 30, verbal threats.

Adam, 30, received a police escort at Manchester Airport on Sunday after returning from the trip after reportedly becoming “freaked out” by the “increasingly abusive” threats he was getting.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told the Sun: “We arrested a 34-year-old man, from the Uttoxeter area, on 11 November 2025, on suspicion of harassment.

“The man was released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.”

It comes comes amid reports that Adam and Holly are locked in a feud with his family. The family are said to feel “pushed aside”.

But what went on during the stag do from hell?

Brotherly love?

While in Budapest, Adam was said to have been receiving "increasingly abusive and threatening" text messages, which he let his fiancé Holly know about.

Concerned, she is said to have alerted police who took action,

Adam was then met by officers at the airport amid fears things could kick off.

A pal told The Sun: "The issues that have been reported don't stem from hen do or wedding invitations; it goes so much deeper. Things escalated over the weekend when someone became increasingly abusive and threatening over text. Adam was trying to enjoy his stag do and was getting freaked out by it all.

"He then received a threat that he'd be met off the plane. He told Holly, who called the cops after consulting with her family."

A dad snub

A source has told the Mail Online that Adam's dad, Mark, did not go to the stag do, in support of Adam’s mum Caroline who is said to have been uninvited to the wedding.

Mark told The Sun that things are getting out of hand between the brothers: "They're brothers, they've always been close, but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fall out, make up and start all over again. But it's got out of hand, there's been very little empathy towards Jamie's genuine mental health difficulties."

Warring in-laws

Gordon Ramsay did not get involved in the stag do drama, and went along to Budapest, enjoying the fun.

But is is claimed in reports that the popular TV chef won't "take any nonsense" from the Peaty family to ensure nothing ruins his daughter’s big day.

It's understood that Gordon being present on the stag has upset Adam’s family as Caroline was not invited to Holly’s hen.

Detailing her sister's hurt in a social media message directed at Holly, Adam's aunt Louise Williams wrote: "@hollyramsayy I'm so glad that you had a great hen do. As a bride, you deserve that. However, as a person you were divisive and hurtful towards a woman, who I have loved and continue to love deeply.

"A woman who opened her home and heart to you. You decided, for whatever reason, not to invite her, your prospective mother-in-law, to your hen night, yet Adam invited his father-in-law, your dad, to his stag night. You invited your mum (quite rightly) and even your mum's assistant, your sisters, your friends, my niece, but not my sister, your future mother-in-law."
