Inside Lucy Fallon's lavish Coronation Street leaving do with cupcakes and cocktails

Lucy Fallon bowed out of Coronation Street this week as she filmed her final scenes and she celebrated by throwing a massive leaving do on Friday night.

The actress, 24, who has played Bethany Platt for five years, will still be seen in the ITV soap over the next few weeks before her exit episode airs.

However, she filmed her last scenes this week and celebrated her exit by throwing a lavish bash to say goodbye.

Her colleagues also clubbed together to treat her to a leaving gift and Lucy was seen clutching a personalised card, gift bags, flowers and a balloon.

At the party, Lucy treated guests to cupcakes and chocolate bars with her face on, as well as plenty of cocktails.

There was also a wall of flowers and balloons and a DJ, who got the guests dancing.

Lucy was seen dancing with co-stars, as well as friends and family, as she necked drinks and boogied around the venue to the music.

Before the party she took to Instagram, Lucy shared an emotional goodbye and admitted she broke down in tears as the cameras stopped rolling.

She wrote: "I’m writing this with mascara all over my face and tears/snot dripping onto my clothes but that’s a wrap... on what has been the most incredible 5 years of my life.

"It’s so crazy to me that 5 years ago, I had just finished 6th form and had no idea what direction life was going to take me in."

Lucy continued: "I never in a million years expected that I would be calling Gail platt a friend. But here we are... and I’m grateful for every single second of it. It’s such a cliche, but the platt family really are a second family to me. And I will forever be in debt to them.

"They have taught me everything I know... who needs a degree and drama school when you have the PLATts???? To the cast, crew, and everyone in between, I will hold you all in my heart for the rest of my life."

Lucy also had a messaged to Corrie fans: "And to the viewers, thank you for the endless amount of support I have received over the years. And to you bethany... oh what fun we’ve had. But it’s not goodbye, just see ya later."

With Lucy checking out of Corrie, it would seem the door is open for Bethany to return, which will please her legions of fans.
