Inside Leeds United training ahead of Reading clash - who's in and who's out

A new video released by Leeds United has given a first hint of who is and isn’t available for Saturday’s clash with Reading.

The LUTV training footage at Thorp Arch sees all the usual suspects, as well as emerging under-23s stars, hard at work as they look to Saturday’s home match against Mark Bowen’s Royals.

Coming into the match off the back of a good 1-0 win over Bristol City, Leeds can record back-to-back wins for the first time since Christmas if they can come out on top.

Adam Forshaw is unsurprisingly absent for the footage as he begins the road to recovery from his hip operation in Colorado, but otherwise there are no injury concerns for Bielsa in terms of senior players, with Tyler Roberts recovering from his knock to feature on the bench last time out.

That’s quite a contrast to the final run-in last season, in which Marcelo Bielsa was given a major injury headache with several key players suffering injuries and unavailable.

January signing Ian Poveda features prominently in the new video, having missed out on recent matchday squads after originally featuring on the bench following his transfer from Manchester City.

There has been some speculation regarding his availability, but the new video shows the winger looking fit, sharp and hard at work in the gym.

However, fellow new boy Jean-Kevin Augustin, who has appeared as a substitute in each of Leeds’ last three matches, is nowhere to be seen in the footage. That’s not to say he’s injured or unavailable, but it might be something to keep an eye on in the coming days.

Elsewhere, it’s notable the homegrown academy products look to be getting well integrated with the senior group and look to getting some hands-on coaching from Bielsa himself.

Bobby Kamwa and Oliver Casey can be seen listening to the famously meticulous coach’s instructions.
