Inside eerie abandoned funeral home with COFFIN in hearse and creepy dummy heads

An urban explorer discovered an extremely rare hearse inside an abandoned funeral home, the same one as the infamous Ectomobile in the Ghostbusters movie.

The hearse also contained a strange coffin inside it, which reportedly could pocket someone around nearly £6,000.

Sharing pictures of the amazing and rare discovery, the urban explorer has now questioned why someone would leave all of their belongings there.

Whilst rambling around another abandoned site, an urban explorer known only as Resurrection Caitie, 35, stumbled upon the funeral home by complete accident.

They managed to sneak in by entering through an unlocked back door, where they found an abandoned hearse in relatively good condition.

She said that while she did not know anything about the home, she was eager to explore, saying: "This particular funeral home I just happened upon when exploring another funeral home down the street.

"I didn't know anything about the location nor have I been able to find anything out about the place.

"I was driving around looking at what else was in the area and I stumbled across this abandoned funeral home."

The 1962 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Hearse she found is an extremely rare car with gothic detailing throughout, and is the same car type that was converted from an ambulance used in New York in the original Ghost Busters film.

Astonishingly, it is estimated to cost over £12,000 ($15,000).

A coffin was also left behind at the home in in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA., reportedly costing anywhere between £1,200 ($1,500) and $7,000 (£5,800) - depending on the condition and material.

Whilst exploring inside, Caitie also went on to discover abandoned instruments, scissors, gurneys and documents, which she took a photographs of to document.

Several suits, dummy heads and embalming fluids were left behind also.

It is rumoured that the funeral home was abandoned due to operating without a proper licence, and for improper handling of remains.

Speaking about the eerie find, Caite said: "I love the mystery. I always want to know, why would they leave all this stuff here? Caskets in particular, they're expensive.

"I also have come across some very old hearses that would be considered antique cars.

"These hearses are not in bad shape either. So I wonder about that. Why leave it?"

Caitie says that abandoned funeral homes have 'quickly become my second favourite type of place to explore' (mediadrumimages/@resurrection_ca)

The 35-year-old went on to say that she decided she would get more information about the hearse and coffin she found, saying: "I decided to look into it and found that almost all the funeral homes that I could get information on, had some low activity on the owner's part. Everything from improperly storing remains to allegedly operating without a license.

"Sadly, many of these abandoned funeral homes were closed under similar circumstances."

Speaking about the abandoned home in Alpharetta, surprisingly she said: "It's actually quite peaceful. It's usually quiet and calm.

"I'll always love the abandoned psych hospitals but the abandoned funeral homes have quickly become my second favourite type of place to explore."
