Londoner’s Diary
Amelia Dimoldenberg has pivoted from poultry to peachy. In between going on dates for her YouTube series Chicken Shop Dates, she has designed a collection with clothing brand Peachy Den. The capsule features slinky off the shoulder dresses and a t-shirt emblazoned with the word flirt, and is “perfect for everything you might want to do in life, from dating to dancing,” according to Amelia.

To celebrate, she and Peachy Den founder Isabella Weatherby hosted a dinner at Goldmine, a Chinese restaurant in Queensway. After platters of fish, bottles of beers and rounds of tequila shots came the inevitable karaoke, when Dimoldenberg gave a rousing rendition of Ne-Yo’s Miss Independent. A cross-section of London it-girls were there, including Olivia Neill, model Jean Campbell and stylist Olivia Pezzente.

Over at Selfridges, host of the podcast Are We on Air Arman Naféei launched a pop-up kiosk which features vinyls from Rough Trade, drinks courtesy of the Chiltern Firehouse and live performances spanning DJs and Royal Opera House singers. His favourite ever interviewee? Jane Birkin, who he had on the podcast just before her death in 2023.

Coldplay and Christina come to the West End

West End shows are often full of contemporary gags, but the writers of Burlesque the Musical have taken things to a new level. The biggest laugh at the show’s opening night this week was for a joke about the CEO caught in the Coldplay kiss cam debacle – talk about adapting for a modern audience.
The musical is based on the 2010 film which starred Christina Aguilera, who is a producer this time around. She graced the red carpet at the Savoy Theatre, alongside castmembers Jess Folley and Todrick Hall.

Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson were at Cineworld Leicester Square for the premiere of Naked Gun, a crime comedy spoof in which they play a nightclub singer and detective who become romantically entangled.

The pair have excelled at drumming up dating rumours in the last few weeks. “I’m madly in love with her,” Neeson said in an interview, adding that his favourite thing to shoot was “the sex scenes”, while at the premiere, Anderson planted a tender kiss on her co-star’s cheek.
