Injury report: Enes Kanter, Romeo Langford out vs. Raptors on Friday

The Boston Celtics will be shorthanded against the Toronto Raptors on Friday, Oct. 25, when they take on Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam and the reigning NBA champions in what will make for the first home game of the season.

Per an injury report from the Celtics, center Enes Kanter will be out against the Raptors with a left knee contusion while rookies Romeo Langford and Tacko Fall will be inactive for the second consecutive game.

Langford has been dealing with a sore right knee since the end of preseason while Fall injured his head at the end of training camp, in a non-basketball related event. However, Langford has progressed steadily and participated in practice Monday.

Kanter played 25 minutes against the Sixers, recording 12 points (5-7 shooting from the field) and six rebounds while helping hold superstar Joel Embiid to 15 points on 5-14 shooting from the field. He was only 2-7 from the charity stripe but overall, he played well and all while making an unexpected start.

Boston will miss his size and rebounding against 7-foot-1, 255 pound Marc Gasol but second-year center Robert Williams III played well, so he should see the bulk of minutes against the Raptors in Celtics head coach Brad Stevens’ center rotation.
