Benjamin Sesko will miss Slovenia’s games against Kosovo and Sweden owing to the knee injury sustained at Tottenham on Saturday, but Manchester United are hopeful he may be available after the international break.

The striker was forced off after 87 minutes of the 2-2 draw with Spurs after being introduced on 58 minutes for Noussair Mazraoui. Ruben Amorim admitted concern after the game and Sesko has withdrawn from the Slovenia squad.

United will conduct further tests at Carrington this week but the initial prognosis is that he may recover in time to face Everton on 24 November.

Casemiro and Harry Maguire were also forced off at Spurs. The latter’s condition is yet to emerge but it is understood Casemiro is fit and has reported for duty with Brazil.

Lisandro Martínez, who has not played since a knee injury in February, will join Argentina at their European training camp but the defender will not play on Friday in the friendly against Angola in Luanda. A member of United’s performance team will support Martínez, who recently returned to work with the squad.
