An Adelaide-based influencer and small business owner has issued a stark warning to the girls who love to wear dupattas or silk scarves after almost being decapitated in a freak accident.
Eli Moulton, who owns a dress hire business, was wearing a gorgeous black silk dress and a matching silk scarf to an event. While she looked stunning in the trending ensemble, Eli revealed that she had a terrifying accident.
“Remove your neck scarves before entering or operating any heavy machinery,” she wrote in a warning on Instagram.
“Nearly decapitated myself getting the scarf tangled underneath the car on the way home.”
In a Reel, Eli shared footage of “the dress that had me in a chokehold” before showing images of the injury she copped after the accident. And boy, they’re a doozy.

In an update on IG Stories, the mother-of-two revealed that she was heading off to get the wound — which appears to be a painful friction burn from the silk scarf — medically dressed.
“Not even the Paris filter can help me,” she quipped. “My spirits are still high. Thriving and surviving, etc.”

PEDESTRIAN.TV has reached out to Eli for comment, but in the meantime, please heed Eli’s warning and, for the love of god, remove your dainty little scarves before getting close to cars or machinery.
