INDORE: A 40-year-old man posted at a primary school in Burhanpur has been arrested in connection to a teacher recruitment scam reported in 2018, the police said on Monday.
Officials said that the accused, identified as Manoj Karole (40), a resident of Dhulkot village of Burhanpur, used to teach at a primary school in Gyansingh Faliya area of the village.
“He is among the list of people who are accused of procuring teachers jobs in different schools of the district on the basis of fake documents,” Kotwali police station in-charge Sanjay Pathak said. “So far around 22 people have been arrested in connection to the teacher recruitment scam which had come to light in the year 2018,” said Pathak, while adding that all of them have been booked for allegedly forging the documents of teachers and procuring jobs. tnn
