India-Netherlands ties reach ‘strategic partnership’ level, says Modi after talks with Dutch PM Rob Jetten

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India and the Netherlands are taking their bilateral relationship to the level of a “strategic partnership” under a shared vision, following talks with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten.

Addressing the growing cooperation between the two countries, Modi said India and the Netherlands should take collaboration in innovation, investment, sustainability and defence to “new heights”.

“We should incorporate the Netherlands' expertise and India's speed and skill in every sector,” Modi said during the talks with his Dutch counterpart.

The Prime Minister said democratic values, market economy and responsible behaviour form part of the common approach shared by India and the Netherlands.

“We consider the Netherlands among India’s most important partners,” Modi said, while highlighting the progress made in bilateral ties over the last decade.

“There has been significant progress in India-Netherlands ties in the last one decade,” Modi added during the discussions with Jetten.
