Ikea wants to send you on a happiness trip to Denmark

Ikea wants to send somebody to Denmark in the pursuit of happiness.

The country is often rated as one of the happiest places, and the Swedish furniture company  wants somebody to find out why.

Maybe it's the concept of hygge, the Danish word that describes a perfect feeling or moment and cosy contentment.

Whatever it is, Ikea wants to pay you to find out.

You'll have your own temporary home in Copenhagen for two weeks with all travel expenses covered, and Ikea will even pay you a "token amount" as a salary.

Ikea  promises days filled with home visits, guided tours, talks and dinners and time on your own to explore.

They'll even serve you 'köttbulla’ at the Ikea restaurant – their famous meatballs.

The inside secrets of IKEA

Ikea say: "By visiting, dining, talking, listening and communicating you will help us find all the keys to a real home of happiness. Keys we will share with the rest of the world – and hopefully make everyone in it just a little bit happier."

They say they are looking for somebody who is curious and loves to travel and who loves being in front of a camera and in the spotlight.

And somebody "who has always wanted to find the secret to happiness."

Applications close on July 1 and the trip will take place in September. Visit www.ikeahomeview.com/join-and-win to apply.
