‘If you were innocent, you would show me right now’: Atlanta bartender confronts customer who secretly took 30+ pictures of her

A regular shift at an Atlanta bar took a disturbing turn when a bartender was alerted that a customer had allegedly been taking dozens of photos of her without consent.

In a TikTok video with more than 346,000 views, Skye (@skyeebunnyy) shared footage from the confrontation. According to her on-screen text, customers informed her that a man had “30+ photos” of her saved to his camera roll. Skye said she felt compelled to call him out directly.

Bartender confronts creep

“If you could just show me that that’s not true [by showing me] your recent messages or pictures,” she told him in the video. “Because I find that super alarming… Can you just show me real quick?”

The man refused. Skye pushed back, saying, “Why? If you were innocent, you would just show me.”

Instead, the customer continued to deny the accusations, repeating, “That is not true” several times. Skye reiterated that secretly photographing her would be “disgusting” and told him she needed him to “prove it.” At one point, the man questioned why she would think that’s “who [he is],” speaking in a defensive tone that sought to undermine her request.

“If you were innocent, you would show me right now,” she repeated. Still, the man denied her claims.

Skye said she had proof through the bar’s cameras, and when the man continued to argue, she told him to leave. She ultimately kicked him out of the bar, citing his behavior and his refusal to provide any evidence that the accusations weren’t true.

Why men feel comfortable taking photos of women in bars

Incidents like this resonate with many women who work in bars, restaurants, or other public-facing spaces. Harassment and unwanted attention are unfortunately common, often escalating beyond words. For women, the act of being secretly photographed can feel like a violation of privacy and safety—especially in the workplace.

Most women are familiar with terms like “upskirting,” which refers to taking unwanted photographs under a person’s skirt or dress without consent. These kinds of photos are typically sexualized and exploitative, yet they are part of a broader culture where women are often treated as objects simply for existing in public spaces.

Commenters connect with Skye’s experience

The comments on Skye’s TikTok showed just how widespread the problem is. Many women chimed in with their own stories of confronting customers who tried to take photos without permission.

“This happened to me years ago! The regulars made him pull them up and delete them. Then he was kicked out. Good on you for standing up for yourself,” one viewer wrote.

Another commenter recalled her time working at Twin Peaks, a restaurant chain where staff are often subject to unwanted attention:

“I worked at Twin Peaks for so long, this happened ALL THE TIME. I LOVED calling them out on it and taking frustration from the day out on them lol they would get super embarrassed, usually. One customer fought back with my manager about it, saying since we had security cameras filming HIM without consent, he was able to film or photograph US without consent. A semi smart argument but also, dude stop taking pics of us in secret… like what are you going to do with a picture of me pouring your beer. I get it, it’s Twin Peaks, but still. We usually were totally fine taking a picture WITH you if you asked, it was really common and sort of expected with the job.”

Other commenters emphasized that safety should come first in these confrontations. “After asking the first time to get out. If they start arguing you don’t argue back — you pick up the phone and call the police,” one person advised.

Skye’s video not only captured an uncomfortable moment at her workplace but also sparked a conversation about how often women in service jobs are forced to deal with behavior that crosses boundaries.

@skyeebunnyy If you see something say something and be aware of your surroundings even for others!!! I almost didn’t say anything but I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night #alpharetta ♬ original sound – skye
