Iceland wants Scots to send frustrated screams to play over loudspeaker

Feeling frustrated with the way 2020 is going so far?

With the pandemic, lockdown, people losing their jobs, businesses closing and protests - there's a lot to feel stressed about.

Iceland is inviting people struggling with recent events to blow off some steam and send in a recording of their loudest screams.

The country will play the screams over seven loudspeakers in remote parts of the country.

Scots can even choose locations such as the stunning peak of Festarfjall in Reykjanes Peninsula or the breathtaking Skogafoss waterfall.

Iceland is marketing itself as the 'perfect place to let your frustrations out' as it channels the power of 'scream therapy'.

Iceland's tourist board has set up 'Let it Out', which will allow people across the world to record their screams over the next two weeks and then hear them played in real-time over a live stream.

It says: "You've been through a lot this year and it looks like you need the perfect place to let your frustrations out. Somewhere big, vast and untouched.

"It looks like you need Iceland."

To record your scream, visit Iceland's Let It Out website.
