The open-air ice rink at Newcastle's Life Science Centre will make a welcome return this Christmas.
The ice rink in the city's Times Square has been a hit with families for years but was cancelled in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, the Life Science Centre has confirmed that the ice rink is back this festive season and will run from November 13 to January 9.

The ice rink is suitable for families and solo skating and can also cater for groups of 20 people.
Tickets are available now and skaters can choose a 45 minute slot on the ice.
For a special skating experience, people can also pre-book a range of festive refreshments.
The ice rink is also open on Christmas Eve but the Life Science Centre said these slots must be booked in advance.
The centre has also confirmed that a festive program of activities called ' Winter Lights at Life ' will be running from November 13 to February 4.
Families will be able to enjoy luminous live shows, a magical light play and festive experiments.

Family of four (max two adults): Skate only: £33.50, super saver skate and centre: £48
Adults: Skate only: £11.50, super saver skate and centre: £19
Concessions: Skate only: £10.50, super saver skate and centre: £17
Children (five-17 years): Skate only: £9, super saver skate and centre: £14
Children (aged four and under): Skate only: £4 (admission to science centre is free.)
