As tourism bounces back, ibis Styles Bangkok Silom recently opened its doors to welcome the first savvy vacationers to discover colourful designs that highlight charming Thai festivals. This brand-new hotel collaborated with talented Thai artist Tikkywow to create a striking mural at the hotel's entrance with vivid flashes of colour spilling into Silom Road.

It's a fresh take on the neighbourhood, focusing on Silom's rich history as a thriving commercial and entertainment district flanked by chic cafes, historical sites, retail malls, art galleries and fashionable boutique hostels. Upon entering the hotel, visitors can unwind in the picturesque lobby, which features funky designs and tunes inspired by Thai culture.

"ibis Styles Bangkok Silom is one of Thailand's most anticipated openings for 2022. A dynamic neighbourhood like Silom is the perfect fit for the trendy and inspiring ibis Styles brand. Its creative and playful designs will bring a sense of joy to the Silom community. This is our 12th ibis Styles hotel in Thailand. We are excited to expand our network in the country as the travel industry regains momentum and we welcome the world back to Asia," said Garth Simmons, chief executive officer of Accor, Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea.

With easy access to Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain and Silom MRT subway stations, the hotel offers 264 artful and comfortable rooms, ranging in size from 18m². There are five room types to choose from -- Standard, Superior Atrium View, Premium Atrium View, Premium Balcony and Family Suites. Each room features Thai themes and bright colours to inspire creative energy, as well as a living area, the Sweet Bed by ibis, 43-inch Smart LCD TVs, and rain showers.

From day to night, the hotel touts itself as a hip hangout spot for travellers and locals to dine, drink, and mingle. The all-day dining Prung Rod highlights freshly made Thai-style noodles and soups, while the sleek, open-concept bar PopUp serves barista coffee during the day. When the night falls, the bohemian-style poolside rooftop bar Boho offers a choice of Thai whiskey cocktails and local homemade dishes in the vibrant ambience of Thai music festivals.
