Ian Wright slates I'm A Celebrity bosses for editing out deep conversations

Ian Wright has expressed regrets about appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and wished he could take his time on the show back.

The former footballer, 56, became the fifth star to be evicted from the jungle when he starred in the I'm A Celeb jungle last year.

Speaking to Red Magazine, the Arsenal legend claimed that the ITV footage was heavily edited and failed to portray a complete picture of his time there.

The sports commentator went on to slam the show for not featuring several in-depth conversations in the final cut.

“To be totally honest, if I could take that time back I would,” he recently told the publication.

“They let me down by not showing the whole picture of who I am. We had so many brilliant in-depth conversations that were never shown.”

Ian, who was caught up in a bitter argument with Andrew Maxwell on the show, went on to explain that he was left feeling vulnerable.

The footballing ace added: “People sometimes see this persona of me where I don’t seem like I’m vulnerable but I’ve always been a person in touch with my emotions. I’m never far away from feeling like I could cry.

“I have very deep feelings that I’ve had to learn to deal with, but I still have my moments. I’m still working in a field where people are looking for mistakes to end you.

"I’m lucky I have a good circle of people around to look out for me and I’ve got my missus.”

At one point during his time in the jungle, Ian was identified as the ' least liked ' camp mate according to social media statistics.

It came as Ian and Andrew's feud descended into chaos, and Ian was accused of purposefully 'singling Andrew out'.

ITV have declined to comment on Ian's claims about the show.

A show source has also told MirrorOnline that "each episode is a fair and accurate representation of life in camp".
