Ian Burchnall makes triple change as he names Notts team to face Aldershot

Notts County head coach Ian Burchnall made three changes to his side as he looked for victory against Aldershot this afternoon.

There was a welcome return to the starting line-up for defender Alex Lacey who made his first start since a 2-2 draw against Torquay last April.

He took his place in the heart of the Notts defence, having replaced Connell Rawlinson, who dropped to the substitutes' bench.

In midfield, Ed Francis was replaced by Callum Roberts, while Ruben Rodrigues also came back into the side at the expense of striker Kairo Mitchell.

Despite the changes, Burchnall stuck to his 3-5-2 formation with Sam Slocombe in goal behind the back three of Richard Brindley, Kyle Cameron and Lacey.

Dion Kelly-Evans and Joel Taylor were handed wing-back roles while the midfield trio consisted of Jim O'Brien, Matt Palmer and Roberts.

Up front, Kyle Wootton was joined by Rodrigues.
