Referee Felix Zwayer, who took charge of Celtic's game against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League earlier this season, has been put in charge of the Europa League final.
The German will whistle the mammoth clash between Manchester United and former Parkhead boss Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham Hotspur.
Zwayer was given a six-month ban by his country’s football federation (DFB) for his involvement in a match-fixing scandal in 2005.
He was discovered to have accepted a €300 bribe from second-tier ref Robert Hoyzer, and was suspended for refusing to decline the offer and then failing to properly report it.

Celtic's Viljami Sinisalo lifts lid on viral Ibrox celebration
He was put in charge of Celtic's goalless draw with Zagreb earlier this campaign. The 43-year-old was also in the middle when Brendan Rodgers' men played out an enthralling 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid in last season's Champions League.
Zwayer will now be involved in the biggest game of Postecoglou's Spurs tenure. The Aussie could end their 17-year trophy drought with a win in Bilbao next Wednesday.
His side booked their place in the final with a 5-1 aggregate win over Bodo/Glimt last week.
Elsewhere, Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo has lifted the lid on his celebration for Adam Idah's equaliser at Ibrox, which caused quite the stir on social media: “It's funny, obviously, because I've celebrated and the goal's been chalked off,” he said.
“But, I wouldn't know that because I'm celebrating. So, how football goes, you get a bit from the fans and stuff like that.
“Then, there's the VAR check and the goal gets given. So, you celebrate a little bit more! But, that's just how it is. I never like to celebrate too early, though, in terms of there's a time and a place to go and celebrate.
“That tends to kick you in the backside if you celebrate too early. But, yeah, it's nice moments. There's a bit of passion, obviously. I want to play with a bit of passion. That's just who I am.”
