'I tried the £21 ELEMIS mask shoppers are raving about felt like I had a facial overnight'

It can be so easy to get bogged down about your skin, take it from me, as someone who has suffered from problematic skin for years.

I thought the older I got the more my skin would improve, but it actually got worse until I invested in some worthwhile products. I was always drawn to ELEMIS products growing up, but was often put off by the price tag, until now.

Once I took the plunge and invested in their Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, I've basically never looked back, and have since been purchasing more of their products when I can afford it.

I've suffered with blemishes for years, and if it's not blemishes its dark, tired and dull looking skin. I was on the look out for a product that went a long way with minimal effort required, and stumbled across the Peptide4 Plumping Pillow Facial which is an overnight mask.

The product ranges from £21-£54 depending on what size you get, but I started off small with a 30ml tub that came as part of a LOOKFANTASTIC bundle which is currently out of stock. You really don't need a lot of this product because it's such a thick formula, so I'd definitely recommend starting off small to make it more affordable.

This mask is all about hydration, and is described as a 'super-cooling' gel mask to fight visible signs of tired, dull skin. Its main aim is to leave your complexion radiant, refreshed and well-rested in the morning - and it certainly did that for me.

According to the ELEMIS website, the mask is proven to lock in moisture for up to 24 hours. 94% of shoppers agreed that the mask left them feeling like they'd had a facial overnight, and I'm definitely part of that percentage.

The mask

Although the particular jar packaging for this product is part of a LOOKFANTASTIC bundle that is currently unavailable, the ELEMIS alternatives still look just as luxurious. I really liked the dark purple jar and classic silver ELEMIS lid that gave the mask a really expensive feel.

The mask smelt super refreshing and slightly fruity, it was incredibly thick in consistency and a little went a long way when applying it to my face. It didn't feel like a typical mask which I really liked, and felt more like a layer of cream that really soaks into your face.

I left the product on overnight as advised and I could really feel it working its magic within that time. It clung to certain areas of my face with a slightly tingly effect that felt like the ultimate pamper.

I absolutely loved the fact that this mask wasn't sticky when I was lying in bed. It dried really quickly and left my face feeling smooth pretty much straight after applying.

The verdict

I rinsed off the product in the morning and cleansed my face with my trusted ELEMIS balm and was amazed at the results. My skin looked instantly brighter and my eye bags were far less defined than they have been.

I've been using this product for just a week, and I can already see a subtle glow in my skin. I look refreshed and well rested, even if I haven't had much sleep the night prior.

It could be purely a coincidence, but my blemishes have cleared up significantly too, leaving my skin to look generally refreshed and plump. My skin is currently looking more glowy than ever, and I truly believe I have ELEMIS to thank for that! You can purchase the Peptide4 Plumping Pillow Facial here.
