'I tried H&M's £13 dupe for Hermes' £570 sandals and left impressed'

Shoppers have been obsessing over a pair of recently released sandals from high street shop H&M.

As summer is quickly approaching, I decided to take a trip to Liverpool’s H&M store to try and get my hands on the bargain sandals that are extremely similar to a Hermes version.

The two pairs of sandals in question have proven extremely popular on Instagram. A reel shared by galslovehighstreet that H&M sandals, currently has 178k views.

I initially went to find the H&M Slides which are said to be a dupe of the Hermes Ankara Sandals but I couldn’t see them in the Liverpool store which I was pretty gutted about. As I was having one last look for them, I found the other pair of sandals that feature in the galslovehighstreet Instagram Reel.

The sandals I found are said to be a dupe of the Hermes Oran Sandals. The Hermes sandals are known for their slip-on style chic slimline silhouette and are instantly recognisable for the 'H' cut-out.

The H&M sandals and the Hermes Oran Sandals are extremely similar in design. The slight differences setting them apart is that the H&M strap that goes over your foot is more in the shape of an ‘X’ rather than a ‘H’. The stitching is also black on the H&M sandals whereas it is white on the Hermes version.

I am a size four in shoes but the smallest size H&M had in the shop was a size five - and to my surprise, they fitted me therefore I would say they are a small fitting sandal. The sandals were comfy but it did feel like I was walking on the floor as the soles were that thin, but I am aware that is the design of the sandals.

I was impressed with the sandals, especially for the price of them. I would definitely buy these for warmer summer months as they are very versatile due them being all black. Whether dressed up with a co-ord for the day to day wear or slipped on with a floaty dress on your summer holiday, they are a staple sandal.

The H&M's Sliders are priced at £12.99 while the Hermes Oran Sandals would set you back £570. This means you would save £557 if you opted for the H&M dupes.

The H&M sandals I tried on are an in store shoe only, but you can get them currently in the Liverpool shop. The code for these sandals is 1122262002.
