'I tried Elemis' game-changing Pro-Collagen skincare range and there's somewhere you can get it cheaper'

Amazon's Spring Sale is live this week and, as fans of beauty products, skincare and perfume know, the internet giant is always quick to discount some of the biggest and most premium of skincare names.

One of the most prestigious of the bunch is luxury brand Elemis and Amazon has discounted plenty of goodies made by the brand, including glow-inducing moisturisers to anti-wrinkle serums by anything from 15% to 50%.

But beauty fans wanting to bag the ultimate Elemis bargain need to look in a different place this week.

Internet shopping brand QVC has launched a special exclusive bundle of some of Elemis' best-selling collagen and bodycare products, and with the deal working out as saving a whopping £137.50.

What's more, the bundle costs just £71.95 for five full size Elemis products. Even with the best Amazon deals, that kind of spend is only going to get you two products for the same price.

QVC's bundles are only available until April 2 and come in two different scent pathways.

The first is perfect for fans of floral fragrances, and includes an English Garden Bath and Shower Milk, English Garden Body Balm, Wildflower Cleansing Oil, Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil and a Pro-Collagen Rose Marine Cream.

The second is a zestier, invigorating Lime and Ginger focused set.

Elemis' Lime and Ginger range is a popular mainstay of the brand's core products and the QVC collection includes some of the range's hero products including Lime and Ginger Velvet Body Butter, Lime and Ginger Bath and Shower Milk, the unscented version of the brand's Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Pro-Collagen Marine Oil and and a Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil.

For fans of Elemis' iconic Lime and Ginger range this five-piece QVC set is the a great way to refill your bathroom cupboard for a fraction of the usual price (Narin Flanders)

Both sets come with a colour co-ordinated drawstring bag to keep the treats in, making it a lovely - and substantial - gift, although I'd hesitate parting with one for anyone less than a dear loved one.

I'm a long-term fan of Elemis products, especially since I hit 40 and need to be a bit more mindful of looking after my skin.

But I am also someone who normally can't justify busting the budget for my entire skincare routine to be Elemis. Instead I tend to get a tub of my favourite Frangipani salt body scrub for Christmas (highly recommended - it smells like holidays and manages to simultaneously exfoliate and moisturise in a way that feels a bit like magic) and I always have a tub of the beautiful lemon-scented Pro-Collagen cleansing balm on the go to gently get rid of the grime of the day.

But otherwise my go to products tend to be less luxe. Until now.

I'd had samples of the Lime and Ginger fragrance before so initially when I was given the chance to try the two sets that was the one I was drawn to.

As anyone who has smelled the heady scent knows, it's the kind of invigorating fragrance that wakes you up in your morning shower and the combination of the shower milk and body butter meant layered nicely without being overpowering.

But the real game changer for me was getting a chance to try the complete Elemis cleansing skincare regime for the first time for a fraction of the usual price.

The Cleansing Oil and Marine Oil can be used morning and evening in tandem, with Elemis recommending using the Marine Cream in addition over your facial oil before you head out for the day.

The three products left my skin feeling gently cleansed and well protected for the day against the elements. Initially I was a bit worried that using three hydrating products in quick succession would end up with my skin feeling a bit overpowered, but a little of both the Marine Oil and Cream went a really long way and, when I was done, my skin felt well moisturised without being greasy.

I've only been using the full set for a week so far but not only does it leave my skin feeling soft - and make me feel like I've given myself a little treat morning and evening - but I definitely feel like my skin looks brighter.

Over time devotees of the Marine Cream say it helps plump the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. I've not noticed that yet but there's enough of a difference already that I'm going to take the time to keep using it - and I'll be looking to replace it when the time is right, preferably with a similar QVC bargain deal.

Having tried both sets, I think for me the Lime and Ginger is my favourite, in part because I love how the scent filling my steamy shower in the morning gives me a real zing to start the day. Also, the cleansing oil and Pro-Collagen trio in the pink themed set has a classic floral scent which, while subtle, is one I'd forego for less fragranced options.

The one thing that would give me pause though is the scent of the Wildflower Cleansing Oil, which was light and fresh and smelled like summer. I'd definitely consider picking up a separate bottle of that if it popped up in a sale.

With the price of everything going up it's hard to justify spending money sometimes on things that feel luxurious or even a bit decadent. But having tried the whole set, I'm definitely a convert to using the full Elemis skincare regime, although having seen the level of discount available I'll be holding out until the next QVC Elemis deal to replace my store - for £71.95 (or even less if you use the code FIVE4U for your first order and claim £5 off) it's the best value Elemis offer available right now.

If you don't need the full set though, Amazon's Spring Sale does include plenty of Elemis' hero products at a discount, including a lot of the Pro-Collagen range, all of which boast the state-of-the-art formulas using botanical and marine ingredients perfect for mature skin. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra Rich is reduced from £85 to £54.99, while the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is currently 15 percent off on Amazon (£38.64, reduced from £46) for the standard version, while the rose version is now only £32.63 - so saving you nearly £14.

However if you end up needing two or more products, you've already spent the equivalent of the five-piece QVC set so you might as well snap up the bigger deal. Who knows, like me you could end up finding a new favourite product you wouldn't have tried otherwise.
