'I played Jude Law's daughter in The Holiday - creepy men still call me cute 16 years on'

Nearly two decades on from the release of The Holiday, we're all still obsessed with the heart-warming Christmas classic. Just look at the excitement surrounding recent sequel rumours ahead of the film's 16th anniversary today - and you'll see how popular it continues to be.

Perhaps nobody adores the film more than its star-studded cast, which includes the likes of Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black. The same is true of Miffy Englefield, the budding actor who landed the role of Jude Law's daughter, Sophie, when she was just six-years-old.

Now, 23, Miffy is a mum herself - and she has thousands of followers on TikTok, where she shares sweet insights into her life in West Sussex, with her partner, drummer Alex Whivley-Conway, and their daughter Frankie.

Proud of her acting work, she also shares behind-the-scenes stories from the hit film, much to the delight of fans, though many struggle to believe her age.

Unfortunately, not all of the attention is positive. Miffy has previously revealed she is sometimes recognised for her role by "gross old men" who like to call her "cute."

In a TikTok, she wrote: "When gross old men say things like 'I'm so glad you are still as cute as you were in The Holiday' to me."

Miffy added: "Relating how I looked as a child to how I look as a grown a** woman makes me all kinds of creeped out idk."

But this is far from the whole picture - and she regularly enjoys sweet interactions with movie buffs. After debunking rumours of an upcoming sequel, Miffy was again greeted by a wave of excited replies from fans who had found her account for the first time.

Settling the score once and for all, the former-actor said: "There are currently no plans to film a sequel to The Holiday." The mum added: "Thank you to everyone for your lovely words asking if I was going to be back on screen again. Unfortunately not, although I will never say no. It is still baffling to me how many people love the film, and I love being a weird part of your Christmas traditions."

In response, one fan wrote: "I get very emotional when I see you as a little girl in The Holiday. You look so much like my oldest daughter. Love you sweet voice in the film."

A second said: "Gutted. One of the best rom coms and a Christmas favourite for us. Can't believe soph is grown. I feel even older."

Someone else agreed, writing: "I refuse to believe you are a grown up now¦ I can't be that old."

Miffy replied: "A grown up who looks after her own daughter now!! the yearly reminders of my little ginger face make me feel older than anyone I promise."
