'I need a ventilator' - Nottingham Forest fans salivating after Reds tease new away kit

Fans are having their appetites whetted yet again for the new season after Nottingham Forest gave a glimpse of the club’s new away kit.

Just days after a teaser for the home shirt was released getting fans all hot under the collar, a yellow and blue teaser of the Reds’ Macron away strip was revealed on the club’s twitter account, and it’s fair to say it’s an update which has been well received.

It comes on the same day the club announced an extension to their principal sponsorship deal with betting firm Football Index, the biggest in its history, it said.

Yellow has been synonymous with Forest’s away kits over the years, dating back to the history-making days under Brian Clough, to when the Reds played in the UEFA Cup under Frank Clark.

Since the mid-90s, just two away strips have been yellow – one of which was worn for two seasons in League One and made by Umbro, before Adidas released a version in 2015, while Macron produced a gold effort in 2018.

"The club are delighted to announce the continuation of this partnership with Football Index,” Reds chief commercial officer David Cook said of the extension.

“We have enjoyed getting to know the team at Football Index well over the last 12 months and we are thrilled that they will again be supporting the Reds in the next campaign.

"We know our fans really embraced some of the fantastic campaigns run by Football Index last season, which saw hundreds of supporters benefit from prizes such as exclusive hospitality, signed merchandise and money-can’t-buy experiences.

“We look forward to working closely with Football Index to help present our fans with even more exciting offers next season.”
