Parents can sometimes spend weeks or months figuring out the perfect name for their kid with suggestions flying around all the time from friends and family. But for one couple, the first and middle name they have picked for their son has got a lot of people noticing the hidden meanings which the parents say did not pick up on initially.
A TikTok clip recently went viral after the mum in the video talked through their decision making process before landing on their son's name. Mackenzie Waddell (who posts online as @missmommymack ) has over 120,000 followers and over four million likes on her TikTok account and she regularly shares insights into parenting and life with her kids.
In a recent clip, the 27-year-old mum-of-two said she was very happy with her daughter's name but her son's name has been more of a cross to bare for the parents.

In the clip, she said: "I’ve always had problems picking out names for kids because they’re going to have it forever.
"My husband really liked the idea of having family names - I love my daughter’s name, her name is Paige Addison - Paige is my mother-in-law’s maiden name and Addison was his great-grandfather’s name.
"So when I found out I was having a boy, I wanted to do the same, but for my family."
She explained she was not a huge fan of the male names in her family so was not sure initially what would work best.
She said: "I liked the name Joseph after my father but didn’t want it as a first name. My husband’s grandfather’s name is James, but our husband really didn’t want our kid to be named JJ.
“So I came up with the brilliant idea, well my dad’s father’s name was Richard, we could name him after the great-grandpas."
Therefore, the son's full name is now James Richard but many have been quick to notice that the nicknames will make the name Jimmy Dick.
The video now has over 680,000 views and has given people a lot to chuckle at and many also noted they know somebody with this name.
A lot of those commenting were quick to note the double whammy of hidden meanings from the nicknames.
One person wrote: "My dad and brother are both James Richard and gosh. We all hated it before but NOW!!!”
While another person penned: "Omg my brother's name is James Richard. And my dad. "
