SINGER Yungblud has cancelled his Dundee show and album launch following being diagnosed with tonsillitis.
The English musician, real name Dominic Harrison, was due to perform songs from his new album Idols at LiveHouse on Thursday.
The album launch was organised by Assai Records, who have run similar shows in the city and at their stores in Edinburgh and Glasgow for several years.
5 legendary Glastonbury performances
The album's launch comes after it reached number one in the UK charts last week.
Harrison confirmed the cancellation on Instagram on Wednesday and said the performance would be rescheduled for another date.
He wrote: “Dundee, I have some bad news.
“This morning I was diagnosed with tonsillitis. I’m trying to get them out, but I need to find some time as obviously I’m on the road all the time.
“The doctor has asked me to stay in bed for two days to make sure I don’t do any damage to my voice.
“I’m so sorry. I never wanna let any of you down. These intimate shows mean so much to me.
“Being close to you all means so much to me.
“I’m gonna have to reschedule the show for a later date but I’ll be there in Liverpool on Friday.
“Information will be provided in the coming days. I love you all.”
Last weekend, Yungblud joined a star-studded lineup of musicians who performed at Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne farewell tour.
Osbourne bowed out with a final concert, an all-day stadium show called Back to the Beginning, at Villa Park in Birmingham.
The show was also livestreamed to more than five million fans worldwide, with Yungblud performing a number of songs, including a cover of the classic Black Sabbath track Changes.
