In the final weeks leading up to summer, I planned endless outfits suitable for warmer weather. Name one seasonal staple; I got it (think linen sets, babydoll dresses, and Bermuda shorts). But since that first heat wave hit New York City, I've been living in white tank tops.
Celebrities are also embracing their white tank top phase. (No, being famous doesn't make you immune to scorching temperatures.) Jennifer Lawrence, Dakota Johnson, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Jennifer Lopez (to name a few) have worn the basic in recent months, so there's plenty of summer outfit inspiration to go around.
This season, Kendall and Kylie Jenner have debuted styles under $100, starting with Kendall in a crop top from Éterne. During Coachella 2026, the supermodel got a head start on summer white styling in Daisy dukes and the aforementioned tank. Just a few Coachella tents away, Kylie debuted her new racerback from Guizio, which retails for almost half of her sister's preferred pick.
While 90-degree days may get old (correction: they already are), white tank tops definitely won't. So, before the next heatwave hits, shop VIP-approved tanks across the price spectrum.
Kendall Jenner's Tank Top
I didn't score tickets to Coachella 2026, but thanks to Kendall Jenner's $70 tank from Éterne, I looked like I did. She wore the cropped skinny-strap style with rolled-up Bermuda shorts from Levi's, desert-proof Ann Demeulemeester boots, and Kate Spade's Duo Mini Shoulder Bag, so of course, I followed suit.

Kylie Jenner's Tank Top
I have Kylie Jenner to thank for introducing me to Guizio. I'd never heard of the New York-based brand before, but now, its elevated basics have become my go-to lazy-day tops.
Last May, she joined her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, at a New York Knicks game in the Perfect Classic Tank from Guizio, complete with a scooped neckline and a subtle racerback. Even at $38, it was sleek enough to share the spotlight with Jenner's Hermès Birkin bag.

Jennifer Lawrence's Tank Top
Jennifer Lawrence's square-neck tank top was the foundation of her full Dior outfit at the Haute Couture Spring 2026 show. After all, her baggy jeans, chocolate brown coat, and black Cigale Bag wouldn't have looked as effortlessly chic without the tank's ribbed "goes with everything" texture.

Dua Lipa's Tank Top
Dua Lipa rarely returns to New York City's Electric Lady recording studios without a tank of some sort. Her favorite way to wear the scoop-neck staple? With straight leg jeans. In late June, a stark-white pair made the cut, alongside an over-the-top necklace stack, Bulgari bling, and Chloé's re-issued Paddington Bag.

Anya Taylor-Joy's White Tank Top
Months later, the brand behind Anya Taylor-Joy's skintight tank top still remains a mystery. Thankfully, the market is stocked with similar lightweight looks. Plus, there's no better time to test the mint green color trend with satin pencil skirts. Everyone from Alexandra Leclerc to Taylor Swift made the not-quite-blue, not-white-emerald tint a must-try.

Dakota Johnson's Tank Top
Two summers ago, Dakota Johnson arrived on the set of Materialists in the Laura Scoop-Neck Tank from Leset, a Los Angeles-based label beloved by Lawrence, Kendall Jenner, Katie Holmes, Olivia Rodrigo, and more.
These days, she's still loyal to the brand's under-$100 tank tops. Earlier in July, Johnson styled high-vamp ballet flats (summer's biggest closed-toe shoe trend) with vintage Levi's jeans and the Nando Square Neck Tank, which featured medium-width spaghetti straps.

Gigi Hadid's Tank Top
Only Gigi Hadid would wear a $1,420 Prada tank to run errands during Paris Couture Week. Sure, it's worth the price of 16 Leset Nando styles, but its slouchy neckline, scrunched straps, and discreet branding channeled the well-loved look of vintage finds. She dressed it up with a lace-trimmed slip skirt, Mary Janes from Portuguese footwear brand EDLA, and the It girl-approved Miu Miu Vivant Bag.

Jennifer Lopez's Tank Top
Just a few five-star hotels away from Hadid, Jennifer Lopez styled a tank top during Paris Couture Week, too. Her $78 version—courtesy of L.A. label Joah Brown—gave the racerback silhouette the halter V-neck treatment. Those subtle switches took J.Lo's linen trousers, Bottega Veneta earrings, and Hermès Birkin bag from sleek to sporty in seconds.
