A savvy self-confessed "trash parent" has revealed how she manages to get second uses out of her rubbish as she refuses to throw anything away.
Menze regularly takes to TikTok to share her views on parenting, with the odd life hack thrown in, and most recently she's revealed how parents can transform condiment bottles into sippy cups, while saving money and the environment.
The mum strongly believes in reusing items to prevent waste, while also saving pennies for parents who might not have the spare cash to buy new things all the time.
"My name is Mindy and I'm a trash parent," she explained in a recent clip posted from her handle @menzennial. "The purpose of this video is just to inform you that condiment containers make really great sippy cups."
In the clip, Menze can be seen using an old mustard bottle as an example, and she simply places a flexible straw into the hole to transform it into a child-friendly cup.
"I have these little flexible straws for my toddler, but regular straws also fit," she explained, while showing how a Chick-Fil-A sauce bottle could also be used in the same way.
"These are really great for filling up, you can use the lid, throw them in the diaper bag and take them out, and it’s no stress if they get lost or broken.

In the comments section, Menze clarified: "I do not use these for hot drinks or put them in the dishwasher. I get several uses before they’re recycled.
"If you are not comfortable reusing plastic that’s okay. Not trying to tell anyone what to do—Just help people! (Maybe decrease juice box purchases)."
Despite a few people raising concerns about plastic, most of Menze's followers were impressed with her thrifty idea and even shared some more of their own.
"One less thing in the land fill for a good while! Thank you for this, I'm totally doing this," one TikTok user commented, while another added: "It's no different than the butter and sour cream containers I use for snacks. I'm all for it."
A third wrote: "Okay but kids would probably actually use it because its funny," to which Menze replied: "In my experience, the more obnoxious the container- the more likely they are to drink water lol."
