I'm A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp says fans want to see Matt Hancock suffer

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! winner Harry Redknapp thinks fans want to see Matt Hancock "suffer" in the jungle.

The disgraced MP, 44, has been chosen to do a record-breaking six Bushtucker Trials on the show already.

Football star Harry, 75, was crowned King of the Jungle in 2018 and says after Mr Hancock broke his own lockdown rules, he was "always going to get a lot of grief".

When asked whether he thought the MP should be back at home working for his constituents, Harry said: "Yeah, I think lots of people did think he should be at home.

“He was always going to get picked for every trial.

“People wanted to see him suffer," reports Radio Times.

Despite winning the show four years ago, Harry stressed how "dreadful" the facilities were in camp, saying the food was "horrendous" and the toilets "disgusting".

Mr Hancock has had his fair share of stomach-churning moments in the jungle having been covered in offal, strewn with slime and buried underground with 30 snakes.

However, at the end of last night's show, viewers decided to give him a break, voting instead for Boy George, Babatunde and Chris to take on the Bushtucker Trial.

After Mr Hancock was chosen to do yet another trial on the programme on Monday, fans started to accuse I'm A Celeb of becoming the Matt Hancock show.

Some even accused ITV of 'fixing the votes' when the father-of-three was chosen to be camp leader before being voted to do a sixth trial.

The disgraced MP took part in Deserted Down Under in last night's show when he was asked by host Ant McPartlin: Why does the public keep voting for you?”

Mr Hancock replied: "I don't know… There's nothing I can do about it, I just throw myself at the Trial."

Ant continued: "Have other people in camp said to you, 'I want to do a Trial'?"

Mr Hancock murmured: “Nobody’s said that, but you can sense it.”

Following the trial, viewers took to social media - slamming the challenge, saying: "If matt is voted for another trial I’m gonna throw a brick at my tv. It's so jarring I don’t want him on my tv any longer, so boring #ImACeleb."

While a second complained: "Can we all please vote for someone else to do the next trial? Getting bored of seeing the same person do them all the time #ImACeleb."

However, the MP will get a night off tonight (Nov 15) as he hopes his campmates will bring back some much-needed grub for the gang.
