I'm A Celebrity viewers worried about Sue Cleaver as husband praises her resilience

Fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here have been expressing their worries after seeing Sue Cleaver sporting a bandaged wrist during the latest jungle episodes. The Coronation Street star was one of the three campmates who headed to the Australian beach after winning a place on the beach barbecue trip.

The actress who plays Eileen Grimshaw in the television soap, joined former health secretary Matt Hancock and Lioness Jill Scott on the luxury treat away from camp after all competitors were put up for the tempting reward.

Only three campmates were guaranteed a helicopter trip to the beach and after taking on several challenges that had them gaining coloured balls instead of stars, it was down to Scott, rugby star Mike Tindall and Hollyoaks' Owen Warner to take on the second part of the trial.

They were strapped into spinning devices as they attempted to work together to collect more coloured balls. Scott started by releasing the balls from a cage of insects. Tindall then collected the balls and threw them at Warner, who was revolving over a pool of water. After the 10-minute trial, Ant and Dec chose three balls at random in a tombola drum and selected the three stars who would go to the beach. Each coloured ball represented one of the campmates and the more they got, the higher the chance they would book a visit to the beach.

Cleaver, Scott and former health secretary Hancock were the lucky winners. However, with the odds stacked in his favour for having most balls in the tombola, Warner, who amazingly missed out on the main prize, found himself chosen for another trial, this time with Scarlette Douglas and Babatunde Aleshe aiming to win stars for the campmates' meals that evening.

But it was at the beach that viewers spotted Cleaver wearing a bandage on her wrist and began asking questions on social media, it was reported on the website ManchesterEveningNews. @leighsmotivate asked: Wait what did sue do to her hand? #ImACeleb." @isaacgrinnell echoed: "What has @Sue_Cleaver done to her hand/wrist? @imacelebrity #ImACeleb."

@hannahhlamont said: "Am I the only one who spotted that bandage on Sue's wrist?? What happened?! #ImACeleb." @Nicholstix added: "Have I missed something, do we know what Sue's done to her wrist? #ImACelebrity #ImaCeleb."

Meanwhile, the star's husband spoke about her ongoing stint in the jungle. Referring to her relationship with the former health secretary, Brian Owen told the Mirror: "I thought she would be professional but her leanings are towards the Mirror readers' side of things, obviously.

"She has not been too nasty with him, she has been professional and doesn't want to cause a ruckus between all the people in the camp." Her son, Elliot Quinn, joked: "Her stuff with Matt Hancock was interesting. Prime Minister Cleaver 2025 yeah, we will have to see what happens!"

He added: "She has shown a lot of resilience and smashed it. Anyone going in you would be worried but she is in a place where she feels comfortable with good people to bounce off. I am happy for her."
